April was a huge month for HubSpot, there were numerous updates, organisational changes and endless reports. As users, we’ve been given an abundance of useful information, and Steadman Hub has summarised the most relevant information for you in our April roundup!
HubSpot Product Spotlight
Let’s kick off with the biggest announcement of the month – the Spring HubSpot Product Spotlight. On 10th April 2025, HubSpot released their bi-annual report featuring updates to over 200 of the platform’s features. This report gave us so many exciting updates and features.
Firstly and most prominently, it highlighted the progression of AI in the CRM industry. With major upgrades to their Breeze AI tools for users, HubSpot's aim to improve efficiency and relieve pressure through innovative AI is clear. One key point is their progression in content creation, where HubSpot's tools are requiring less and less human input in every release, to still create worthy, SEO friendly content.
The progression of HubSpot’s workspaces also aims to improve productivity and organisation. The updates bring both tools and insights together, making prioritisation paramount, and meaning tickets or projects can be completed with much more efficiency. There are different workspaces for different purposes, and the Spring Spotlight has made their features even more targeted and helpful for customers.
HubSpot has really gone into detail with these updates, ensuring they’re specific to each customer and benefit them relevantly.
Furthermore, another notable highlight has been the updates to Marketing Hub. HubSpot is one of the best CRM’s when it comes to marketing. They really understand what works, and just what marketers want for modern-day tactics. The spotlight announced partnership with Canva, which will be a huge campaign game changer creativity wise, read why here: Why the Canva-HubSpot Integration Is a Big Win for Marketers - Spotty Jobs. Another key update is journey automation, offering enhanced features like visual builder and inline reporting, for more user-specific journeys that really allow you to engage with your audience and understand what they want.
These are just some of the features we’ve picked that stand out, but there are many more updates for all kinds of users!
Has the AI push had any effect on work experience?
Our Lead HubSpot Recruitment Consultant Connor Pyner speaks to the HubSpot ecosystem every day, meaning he has a lot of market knowledge to share.
Due to the massive AI push in the Spring Spotlight 2025, and its continued enhancement the last few years, we asked Connor if AI knowledge has yet reached the point where it's become a standard requirement across HubSpot work experience.
So, has there been a noticeable shift in AI experience amongst job seekers? Connor stated that, ‘At the moment, there is no big shift in hiring patterns because of AI, however, this is inevitable in the future. For now, there isn’t necessarily a need for an AI specialist in businesses, but we are still early stages of the advancements.'
Time will tell how soon it’ll be until it's a standard requirement, but as the only HubSpot recruiters in the UK, speaking to the ecosystem on the daily, we’ll be the first to let you know.
HubSpot’s acquisition of Dashworks
On 16th April, HubSpot announced the acquisition of Dashworks, an AI platform and workplace search assistant. They also announced their aim to give every team member an AI assistant.
With the introduction of Breeze Copilot in 2024, Dashworks will now make HubSpot’s AI capabilities more powerful by adding deep search and reasoning. This integration means that your ‘AI assistant’ is more informed than ever as it knows how your business works, and what your business wants. It has the ability to pull information across your entire CRM; streamlining workflows, improving data accessibility, and empowering teams to make more informed decisions quickly.
It’s safe to say it's going to take Breeze to the next level, setting a new standard for workplace collaboration, accuracy, and efficiency.
2025 Hypergrowth Startup Index Report
HubSpot released their 2025 annual report of the Hypergrowth Startup Index. From this report, we picked three main points that highlight the current trends:
- AI creating a shift in business models and growth strategies.
A pretty obvious one, but experts say that we are entering the biggest wave to hit the tech industry as AI is becoming more and more common.
- The market is experiencing fewer but larger deals.
The average deal size increased by 40% from 2023 to 2024. But, at the same time, the monthly deal count has dropped 50% from 20,000 to 10,000. This is suggesting that investors are making fewer, but bigger deals.
- Strategic partnerships are replacing traditional funding models.
The average joint venture averages $9.9 billion in deal size, which is four times larger than the typical or leveraged buyout. Strategic partnerships provide more in the form of product partnership and brand impact than just financial investments.
London Marathon Partner
Last month, London Marathon Events announced its official partnership with HubSpot as it's Official Customer Platform for three years, marking the beginning of an exciting collaboration.
The reason behind the partnership is so HubSpot can use its ever-growing, AI-powered customer platform to enhance the marathon’s digital presence, supporting marketing efforts. Both the Marathon and CRM also share the same values of determination and continuous improvement. This was a very strategic move on HubSpot's part.
The partnership has received a positive reaction, especially from HubSpot’s Senior Director of Sustainability, Yogesh Chauhan. He highlighted on LinkedIn the significance of his previous employer TCS working alongside HubSpot for such a large event. Visually seeing the names of the two tech companies alongside each other marks huge growth for HubSpot, establishing itself as a serious contender amongst renowned industry names.

World Certification Week
What started out as a single day celebration, World Certification week is now a period where thousands focus on HubSpot certifications to progress their careers.
From Monday 28th April 2025 to Friday 2nd May 2025, each certification completed raised $5 for education-focused charities. This is a massive week for charity, where in the last five years, HubSpot has raised over $175,000 from certifications completed in over 120 countries.
This year, the stats revealed that 18,586 certifications were completed by 16,351 participants across 134 countries.
And $25,000 was raised for charities Laboratoria in Latin America, and Teach for All (TFA), which will inevitably change the lives of many through the right to an education.
One participant was even awarded 20 certifications in the week – that's impressive!
This is firstly, a brilliant cause, and secondly does a great job of supporting the growth of the HubSpot ecosystem by incentivising its members to learn.
Conclusion
April was a successful month for HubSpot, marked by innovation, strategic growth, and community engagement. From the sweeping updates in the Spring Product Spotlight to the strategic acquisition of Dashworks, HubSpot is clearly doubling down on AI to enhance user experience and operational efficiency. The 2025 Hypergrowth Startup Index further underscores the shifting dynamics in the tech landscape, with AI, larger deals, and strategic partnerships reshaping how businesses grow.
Meanwhile, HubSpot’s new partnership with the London Marathon and the global impact of World Certification Week highlight the company’s commitment to both community and professional development. As HubSpot continues to evolve, it’s clear that their focus remains on empowering users, streamlining workflows, and building a more connected, intelligent future for businesses everywhere.
If April is any indication, there’s plenty more to come this year.
